Siviløkonomene - The Norwegian Association of Masters in Science of Business
Siviløkonomene is the Norwegian association for "siviløkonomer" and others with a master's degree in fields related to economy and administration. Siviløkonomene has 15500 members, of whom roughly 2500 are student members. The organization's main goals are:
- To promote high professional standard and greater attention to ethics amongst members.
- Secure good salary and employment conditions for our members.
- Secure high standard of educational institutions within the field.
- To promote research in the field of economy and administration.
- Motivate members to engage in questions related to society from an economic perspective, as well as humanistic and cultural issues.

We offer all our members legal advice concerning employment practices and standards, and your rights related to these. Up on becoming a student member, you are entitled to submit your work contract to one of our attorneys at law, with a guaranteed evaluation within 24 hours. If you have been a student member or regular member for three years or more, you're also entitled to 15 hours of free legal advice concerning your employment conditions.

We also compile annual statistics concerning member salaries. This will be of great value when negotiating your salary with an employer.
